      International Business Consultant

I worked in 2 teams of 4-5 students of different Nationalities including Hungarian, French, & Botswana as the only American and native English speaker in an English program. The program is 6 weeks long and designed for students to gain personal and professional knowledge regarding consulting for start up companies. The first project was about building a prototype for a new social networking application that allows users to find their friends and events in the area via a GPS tracking system. The application was origionally called "HangOut" but is now known as "Ph.aze." My team created a new name, new logo, and new design for the app, as well as putting together a business canvas, marketing plan, and competitive analysis. The second project was about creating an export plan for "Vietta," a soap company started by an entrepreneur who currently makes natural ingredient soaps as a hobby. The owner is selling these soaps to friends and family in and around Pécs, Hungary. He wants to expand his business and begin exporting and selling to the US market. My team's goal was to help him with his decision making by doing research on the US market, the soap industry, the regulations and guidelines for the soaps and for exporting the soaps.A final exhibition held on July 17, 2015 was to showcase the products. The point is to try to find investors/ experts for the entrepreneurs as well as a networking opportunity for future business relationships. Show less
