  CHS AccomplishmentsSuccessfully implemented, configured, and managed a Symantec Vontu DLP solution to detect and monitor sensitive data at rest on file shares and endpoints, in addition to data in motion leaving the company through network egress. Additionally used this tool for data classification to detect where the majority of sensitive data resided in order to further harden those systems.Assisted developing comprehensive "Site Report" that addressed all local compliance deficiencies. This SQL/Python driven report was emailed weekly to facilities, resulting in a 60% reduction in average facility SOX exceptions within the first three months of its introduction. Continually updated and maintained the report to add new features and streamline the information tailored to the needs of the business.Collaborated with Internal Audit to identify and address security deficiencies through pre-audit assessments; assisting facility IT Directors with awareness of SOX exceptions to encourage prompt remediation.Led security exception approval project, working with the Identity Management (IDM) team to implement a fully-electronic workflow to submit, approve, and provision otherwise unauthorized access by job role. I was part of the joint initiative with Symantec, where I served as a Symantec consultant for their clients. I worked with Symantec clients to architect their DLP infrastructures, perform installs/upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and consult on various issues that they encountered.

I was a data loss prevention specialist and was staffed across a broad spectrum of security and privacy-related assignments as a traveling consultant at a multitude of clients across the country. In addition to DLP roles, I worked for 11 months as a third party security risk assessor for a Fortune 200 financial institution.
