Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Irish and History 2.1

This is a highly flexible programme, which offered a very wide range of two-subject combinations to degree level. In addition to academic rigour, I acquired transferable skills designed to make me career-ready and equipped for employment and further study in Ireland or abroad. Over the course of the three-year degree I studied History and Irish throughout as well as undertaking Psychoclogy and Sociology in my first year of the course, it therefore allowed me to pursue and develop my interests… Show more This is a highly flexible programme, which offered a very wide range of two-subject combinations to degree level. Apr 2012 - May 2012
      Teacher

I taught Irish and Mathematics to various different classes from first to sixth year on a substitutive basis. This secondary school was transitioning from being an English language school to a Gaelscoil which thus meant I had to cater the classes I taught based on their speaking ability in Irish. I planned the lessons in advance and ensured that the learning outcomes were achieved. This post added greatly to my organisational and time keeping skills as well as providing me with the necessary confidence for teaching classes. Show less
