  Led the operations functions in Weapons Division at QinetiQ. Both major contract and project based financial elements for a significant part of the business. Implemented economies of scale at all levels and introduced operational excellence as a concept and drove through UK wide ranges General Manager for a COMAH Top Tier site with three business units, Trials, Demilitarisation and Environmental Testing. Responsible for a large range, introduced a transformation programme that delivered a 40% increase in productivity and a vastly improved safety record Responsible for the Test and Evaluation Range in Ayrshire - transformed the range from a purely air range to one that serviced all disciplines Responsible for all assurance and compliance within the UK's Test and Evaluation Air Ranges I headed up a group of 20 or so Operational Analysts who were responsible for developing different ways of operating and training as well as advising on procurement and lessons learned.

  Leading the Engineering and Operations elements of a Transformation programme, changing the business from a divisional, stove piped business to a balanced matrix. Implemented S&OP within the function, established the operational and financial management routines that have enabled significant increases in productivity and efficiency. Lead the Transformation of Weapons Division in QinetiQ changing from a site based organisation to one based on capability in a matrix environment. Delivered a new structure that enabled significant efficiencies and new ways of working that drove an increase in engagement. Successfully implemented change across UK wide sites with a broad spectrum of skills and backgrounds.
