      After being involved in the charity for a number of years, progressing from volunteer to project leader on our international development trips, I successfully gained a seat on the board of trustees. As a small charity the trustees remain very involved. I stay up to date with all areas of the charity including governance, fundraising, projects and volunteers and I am part of important decision making processes, ensuring to always put the beneficiaries' needs first.
