      PhD Student studying the role of epigenetic modifications in the control of the telomerase gene promoters (hTR and hTERT) and the potential significance in senescence, telomerase activity and the ALT method of telomere maintenance, and also in haematopoetic progenitors in CML samples This was undertaken with Professor Nicol Keith at the Centre for Oncology & Applied Pharmacology (Cancer Research UK) at the Beatson Laboratories in Glasgow.This involved various techniques, including tissue culture, chromatin immunoprecipitation and quantitative PCR analysis amongst others.
