  North Hills International was the development center and international sales headquarters for the Long Island token ring manufacturing company operating in the IBM environment.My function was to co-operate with the existing worldwide distributors and to fill the gaps in a number of marketing areas, together with replacing under performing existing distributors. My responsibilities were worldwide ( excluding the USA and Canada ) and consequently I spent most of the time out of the country.The American owners received an offer they could not refuse from a competitor in Israel and the only staff who remained were from the development team as the two companies were merged.From my standpoint this was an invaluable entrance to the computer networking industry.
