Cassandra Shafer first joined Casa Colina as a Human Resources (HR) Intern in 2012 and was subsequently hired on as the HR Assistant. After two years, Cassandra was promoted to the HR Generalist. As the HR Generalist, Cassandra focuses on a variety of HR functions such as recruitment, employment, benefits, compensation, status changes, personal information and tax changes, and employee relations. Cassandra continues to be the super user for Performance Manager; Casa Colina’s online appraisal system. This system allows managers to complete their employees’ performance appraisals, goals and competencies. Cassandra is also a gatekeeper of the department, greeting each individual that visits the HR department and she performs daily tasks such as answering phones, filing, and office maintenance.
