  This was my first exposure to patient care. Working in a hospital undergoing rotations, I gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the healthcare field. I applied what I learned from class to obtain vital signs, observe usage of EMR, and practice proper bedside manner. I shadowed a variety of staff such as patient care technicians, food preparers, respiratory therapists, radiologists, inventory managers, ER nurses, and gained insight on the importance of teamwork in this field.
