  Project Manager

  As a Project Manager in IBM I was responsible for the end to end delivery of projects that were successful for both IBM and our clients. I was responsible for the creation and selling of proposals that outline the solution the client needs whilst demonstrating that implementing the proposal presents monetary value to them. This required much face to face client interaction and developed my commercial sales ability as I had to both manage and negotiate the best possible 3rd party vendor rates as well as communicate the value our work presents to the end customer. Throughout the project's planning I was responsible for project scheduling, pricing and resourcing. These responsibilities continued throughout the project life cycle as I had to manage all the resources of each of my projects, ensure milestones are met on time and manage the project's finances.This role helped me to develop my stakeholder management and client relationship skills in particular as both internal and external stakeholders needed to be effectively communicated with on a daily basis to ensure the successful implementation of my projects.   I joined First Data OmniPay as a Project Manager as part of the professional services team. My role was to support the delivery of projects that help both our clients and First Data grow revenue and business as we expanded together into new regions and offered new functionality to our processing platform.This role challenged me to develop my programme management skills as I acted as the programme manager for clients in the APAC region with a focus on our clients in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.   I spent a thoroughly enjoyable 18 months in EY's FSO Business Consulting team. Acting as the PMO Manager for a large business transformation programme; I was responsible for managing a team of PMO Analysts with project governance responsibilities across budget management, risk management and governance reporting.
