In Guayna EPC Project, my role includes, 1. Project Planning Prepared a detailed project schedule using MS Project do the monitoring of project progress against the schedule. Ensure project objectives are achieved, and that any issues or risks are identified and addressed in a timely manner. Identify claims and prepare claim notices. 2. Contract Management Ensuring that the Project is executed according to the contract, required communications are made & recorded and any deviations to the contract are identified & addressed accordingly. 3. Cost Management Monitor project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Employ effective cost control measures, analyze expenses, and implement strategies to optimize resources. Develop accurate cost estimates, track expenditures, and provide insightful recommendations to support informed decision-making and cost-effective project outcomes.4. Additionally, I had the opportunity to lead a team that carried out three feasibility studies in Zambia.Some details of the works I carried out were as follows;1. Bidding Successfully managed the bidding process which involved costing for the project called "Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for 1.5MW Kumu and 0.7MW Moco Moco Hydropower Plants" in Guyana, South America on behalf of the company and secured the bid. 2. Contract ManagementNegotiation of the contract price on behalf of the company after Vidullanka becomes the lowest bidder in above stated project in Guyana. Responsible for coordinating and managing contractual matters related to the EPC Contract for the construction of a 3.3 MW Dandro (Biomass) Power Plant in Dehiaththakandiya, Sri Lanka.3. Planning & SchedulingPrepared detailed construction program for the above-stated hydropower project in Guyana starting from Letter of Acceptance to Project Completion using MS Project. 4. Conducting feasibility studies I was in charge of overseeing the engineering surveys for three hydropower projects in Zambia and managing the team responsible for conducting feasibility studies for these projects. I played an active role in designing layouts, conducting technical evaluations, determining costs, coordination, and report writing.Project Involved: 1. Kumu Hydropower Project - Guyana (1.5MW)2. Surveying works of these remotely located sites were carried out using RTK and works were completed within 45 days. 4. Layout designs for small hydropower projects located in ZambiaFollowing the Engineering Survey, layout designs for the above 3 projects were carried out as the staring of the feasibility studies.   Worked as the Cost Engineer in the “ADB Loan 3547, 3548 and Grant O538 - Sustainable Highlands Highway Investment Program (SHHIP): Tranche l -CSTB 3748 Contract VO# 2 for the Detailed Design of the Remaining Section under RIC (CSTB 3776) in Papua New Guinea. The project was intended to improve the road network in Papua New Guinea.I was a member of the team that prepared a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the project section, which involved extracting quantities from the detailed drawings of the roads and associated structures. This BOQ was used as the Engineer's Estimate by the client. Show less
