      Camp Manito-wish YMCA is a outdoor educational camp located in the North woods of Wisconsin. With a focus on the trail experience, campers are given the opportunity to develop their leadership skills both in their camp activities (sailing, canoeing, rifles, crafts, etc), and on a canoe/kayak/backpacking trip. During my time at Manito-wish I led small groups of girls on kayaking and canoeing trips varying from 10-35 days. As the leader of the groups I facilitated team planning for these trips including but not limited to: route planning, menu planning and ensuring adequate equipment. Show less

      Ms. Strother joined the Water and Natural Resources Business Group to manage the environmental science and planning group. With a strong emphasis in water regulations the 700 employees within her group represent expertise in cultural resources; local, state and federal permitting (NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA); biological services; and easements. As the Director of Environmental Science and Planning for HDR’s Water Business Group, Ms. Strother was responsible for the continued success of project pursuits and implementation. In addition to Ms. Strother’s internal role, she also led project pursuits resulting in multi-million dollar contracts to complete environmental and permitting documents, she negotiated with clients for mutually agreed upon project terms and she acted as project manager for large projects requiring management of staff, reporting to clients and reporting to the public. Two of these projects are highlighted below:* Hammond Irrigation District Cultural Resources Survey, Bureau of Reclamation Project Manager (April 2015-August 2015)Completed for the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), the Hammond Irrigation District Cultural Resources Study (Study) will provide a report as the result of an intensive Class I and Class III Survey to comply with cultural resource preservation laws in anticipation of proposed operation and maintenance activities. * South Platte Basin Implementation Plan (SP BIP), State of Colorado Project Manager (December 2013- August 2015)Ms. Strother led the project pursuit team resulting in work performed in the development, drafting, reporting and finalization of the South Platte Basin Implementation Plan (SP BIP). The SP BIP offers solutions to meet the needs of Colorado’s most populated and water deficient basin. Ms. Strother’s primary responsibilities for the project included development and production of document, daily interaction and reporting to clients, managing public involvement and team coordination.
