  I've worked on a variety projects related to developing a tissue engineered blood vessel for the treatment of blood vessel damage due to cardiovascular disease. I've been involved in analyzing differences in cell seeding distribution between different donor stem cell populations. I've also worked on a proof of concept for utilizing our seeding method on "artificial stem cells" - micro particles encapsulating relevant regenerative factors.

  I performed an analysis of the RNA Synthesis machine used by our small scale chemistry lab in order to understand differences in synthesis times between siRNA plates. I learned techniques for RNA synthesis, purification, and analysis as well as presentation skills.

  I am currently a research intern in the Drug Discovery group at Alnylam. I am synthesizing, purifying, and performing quality control on small scale siRNA duplexes for in vitro and in vivo screening purposes. I am also working on improving the processing methods used on the siRNA single strands.

  I am currently working toward my PhD in biomedical engineering at Yale University. My thesis work is related to developing polymeric nanoparticle drug delivery systems for improving drug delivery in a couple of different systems.One system my thesis work focuses on is chemotherapy for Glioblastoma. I hope to assist in developing treatments methods that are effective but also limit toxicities in healthy tissues.More recently, I've begun working on projects related to COVID19 treatment, developing nano carriers for anti viral drugs for the early portion of the disease (Remdesivir) and immunomodulators (Ibudilast) for the later stages.
