  Project : Loading Account, Service Address , Product and Revenue information to Salesforce.com; Team Size : 6; Informatica 8.6.1 , Oracle 10g , Solaris (Unix) , JDK 1.6 and Salesforce.com cloud.The aim of this project was to send the weekly extract of Centurylink customer account, service address, monthly product and revenue information to Salesforce.com cloud. This project was implemented in three phases in the order of occurrence : Account and Service Address, Billing Code(Product) and Revenue. Customer data from MKIS after householding is used to populate staging tables for Salesforce. ETL cycles was developed for delta detection and sends new / update existing customer information in form of flat file extracts to salesforce.com cloud platform.The flat file is loaded into salesforce.com objects individually created for Account, Service address, Bill code and billing revenue respectively. The data is inserted / updated into the object using Bulk API (provided by SFDC) which is called though java classes. As a initial process, a full extract of salesforce.com object is written to a flat file using Enterprise API. This flat file is loaded into oracle tables and used for delta detection by the ETL process. SFDC is used by sales representatives, business users and marketing executives who can view, run reports and add/modify the existing data into the objects. Hence an automated ETL solution was deployed to provide up-to-date and accurate customer information obtained from billing systems after householding to salesforce .com cloud platform.Roles and Responsibilities:Developed end-to-end ETL solution for sourcing, delta detection and flat file extract . Oracle table design for staging , delta and sync-up.Involved in documentation of the process.Code Migration .Coded unix jobs for automation of ETL cycle through Control – M scheduler.24/7 Production support to ensure smooth operation of ETL jobs with immediate response time.
