  The StageSpace is a performance environment where the arts of New Zealand’s Creative Capital were brought to Wellington International Airport for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. A landscape of floating white shapes and lit surfaces provided space for a programme of dance, installation, fashion, cooking, and musical performances.   David Trubridge is a New Zealand-based designer whose lighting, furniture and sculptural installations can be found in homes and commercial spaces all over the world."Mathilde worked with us for two months, a period in which she was keen to try every area of design and production within our firm. She was a great help finalising the crate shipment for our shows in Germany and New York, helped with putting furniture together, operating the CNC machine, and working on the production lines of our sanding and dispatch departments. She also researched new uses of our waste materials, creating a weave from our well known Coral shapes that opens up potential as sound absorbing wall divider or light. She also worked on a few competition proposals and applications with our design team and helped me with the construction of a plywood and fibre-glass boat prototype.She has fantastic making skills, a great design mind which acknowledges the creative process, an intuitive understanding of materials, and a real passion for designing from and for humans." - David Trubridge Show less
