  I form part of the Property Unit at the Wits Law Clinic, whereby I provide legal assistance in cases involving evictions, challenges to property titles, deceased estates, rental disputes, and other general property issues. In the unit we conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients under supervision in various legal proceedings. We work closely with clients to understand their legal challenges, offer advice, and develop strategies to resolve their cases effectively.

  Served as part of the electoral staff during the May 2024 elections, responsible for issuing voting ballots and ensuring that voter turnout was accurately tracked. Played a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the voting process by ensuring that all ballots were accounted for. After the voting process, participated in the counting of votes, meticulously separating and tallying votes according to the assigned ward.   I was allowed the opportunity to gain practical experience in the Insurance Litigation Department at Norton Rose Fulbright during a one-week vacation program. I engaged in various tasks including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and organizing case files. I had the opportunity to sit in on client meetings and observe litigation strategy discussions, gaining insight into the workings of a leading law firm. I was able to contribute to ongoing cases by providing support to senior attorneys, which included prepa ring materials and reviewing case precedents as required. Show less
