  The Biology Learning Community, Biology Education Success Teams (BEST), is designed to support first-year students entering the Biology Program. The BEST Learning Community seeks to help navigate students through their first year in the Biology Program and facilitate lasting connections with peers, program faculty, and staff, both in and outside the classroom setting.   A SHPEP Ambassador is a former participant who volunteers to recruit eligible applicants for the program. SHPEP Ambassadors are expected to recruit eligible applicants using promotional materials provided by the National Program Office by hosting or participating in campus outreach activities, sharing program information with prehealth advisors and other influential college/university staff, and sharing their experience as a program participant with students.
