  Established and developed the department with the express aim of assuring the supplies of products and services for the industry (which at the time was spending US $ 1.6 billion per annum on procured non-gas supplies). In this time served on several national committees including the drafting committee for BS 5750 (predecessor of the ISO 9000 series) and the National Accreditation Council for Certification Bodies (NACCB), the forerunner of UKAS.   Responsible for establishing and developing the training division of Rede Group Consultancy.In this time was approached by the PQG to develop a registered course for training supplier auditors in the use of the PQG Codes of Practice for printed components, contact packaging and raw materials. Successfully ran this course for many years. Developed and ran bespoke quality courses for several major companies including Marks and Spencer and the Ford Motor Company.
