  Government agency responsible for regulation and supervision of Peruvian financial and insurance system, as well as private pension fund system, made up of 100+ institutions.•Manage and mentor a team of six that supervises the operational risk management in 45 financial institutions (total assets $72 billion) and 6 insurance companies (total assets $16 billion).•Cooperated with multidisciplinary teams in the improvement, development, and launch of 10 regulations related to comprehensive risk management (outsourcing, market conduct, cybersecurity, and reputation risk).•Directed a multidisciplinary team in developing a roadmap to deploy cutting-edge technology (e.g., artificial intelligence) to optimize the gathering, validation, and analysis of cases involving operational risk losses (like fraud).•Led the creation and implementation of a firm-wide dashboard that portrays the main indicators of debit and credit card fraud reducing the time to generate reports from 60 hours to 1 hour.•Performed an agile supervision process to optimize company inspection visits; defined a scope, tasks, and framework for team meetings.
