      As a Group Leader, provided technical, managerial, and programmatic leadership to the Nonproliferation Division, Safeguard and Security Systems Group (N-4) of approximately 60 personnel with an annual budget of $45-60 M. Provided technical and programmatic support to the US government's threat assessment and mitigation efforts, focusing on the complex interplay between technology and policy for numerous issues related to nonproliferation of nuclear materials. Developed and applied science and technology to nuclear nonproliferation issues by identifying and characterizing emerging and persistent threats; assessing and analyzing situations, processes, and data; developing technological solutions and recommended actions; and implementing these solutions and recommendations. Applications included current threat reduction areas of nonproliferation, counterproliferation and counterterrorism, and security technology development on an international scale. Show less

I'm working with the Associate Director, Nan Sauer, on an assignment from November of 2012 through May of 2013. Provided technical and managerial leadership to the Nuclear Engineering and Nonproliferation (NEN) Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory of approximately 300 personnel with an approximate annual budget of $160 M to enable national security research and development (R&D) that reduces the threat of weapons of mass destruction, proliferation, and terrorism and build consequence management-related preparedness.
