Project responsibilities:Demand Planning Project:Optimizing maintenance of critical components on RTG and STS cranes by using planned long-outages to prevent unplanned breakdowns:● Investigating types of major failures on critical components of fleet (occurrence and frequency).● Analysing maintenance requirements and repair times. ● Compiling maintenance schedules for the replacement of critical components.● Reporting the Demand Plan to Senior Engineering Manager to ensure availability of required spares, to avoid long lead time.Eliminating stockouts for service materials:● Creating master data (specifications) of materials according to the original manufacturing equipment and or the desired requirements, using PiLog.Initiatives to reduce downtime and recurring breakdowns of RTG and STS cranes:● Determining the source of frequent breakdowns on RTG and STS cranes, using reports on investigations carried out.● Conducting research and small-scale testing of solutions.● Managing the implementation of initiatives to address the areas of breakdowns, within the time constraints set by operational demand of cranes.● Analysing and presenting on subsequent equipment performance, as a show of success.Mid-life Refurbishment (preventative maintenance) Project on RTG cranes to optimize equipment operation and ensure design life is reached:● Managing crane maintenance according to the project scope. ● Oversight of quality checks on work done, and load-test on repaired equipment.
