  Skill Centre was where I developed my professional career. The people around me helped me to build my knowledge which opened up opportunities within the company. This exposure allowed me to gain valuable skills, progressing to become the Lead Internal Verifier. This role carried many responsibilities including monitoring assessor performance and ensuring the authenticity, validity and sufficiency of provided evidence. I have worked closely with a trailblazer group to develop the future apprenticeship standards to ensure we could continue working in the fenestration industry in the future.I was given the responsibility of managing the Certass Contract, ensuring our members of staff were performing their best, attending standardisation meetings and providing updates for staff, and invoicing.I was given the tasks of managing the functional skills requirement of NVQ learners. This included registering learners and communicating with edexcel to book exams and claim certificates. I have mentored learners to level 1 and 2 standard and invigilated functional skills exams.To further my knowledge, I was given the opportunity to chair standardisation meetings with our assessors and updating our paperwork and procedures to ensure compliance. Early on in my career I was given the project of developing work books for the technical certificate. I also designed observations sheets to streamline the assessment process and review guides to inform assessors of changes in requirements.Throughout my employment I gained an incredible array of experiences which has helped me to continue to improve my knowledge of, and strengthened my passion for, the learning and development industry.   Research and Development

  I did the initial research and development for a consortium called OneStop 106, which was going to be a bridge between councils and developers to handle Section 106 requirements. At Fusion People I worked with one other person continuing this research and starting to take it forward.

  Training Coordinator

  Skill Centre was acquired and given the task of managing Kingdom Services Group Apprenticeship Levy investment and internal training. My roles include Designated Safeguarding Lead, Data Protection Officer, Compliance, Functional Skills Mentor and Contract Manager. I have worked closely with a wide range of organisations to implement systems and procedures for both Skill Centre and Kingdom Group Services. My main accomplishments have been automating a large amount of administration work and developing training material for new members of staff. Show less
