During his tenure, Dr. Martel successfully restructured the radiation safety management programs and procedures for the hospital to accommodate new clinics and facilities, as well as implementing compliance with 10 CFR Part 37 security requirements. Dr. Martel introduced new methods and software used to manage radiopharmaceutical research trials for FDA compliance and streamline annual reporting requirements, a software tool to manage clinical follow up for fluoroscopy patients, and manage clinician credentialing for the use of specific tools for compliance purposes, e.g., laser and fluoroscopy credentialing.
