      First James A. Huckaba Prize in Algebra - 2012 James A. Huckaba was a distinguished mathematics professor at the Mathematics Department of the University of Missouri-Columbia since 1967. When he passed away in 2009, his family made a donation to the James A. Huckaba Scholarship Fund for excellent graduate students at the University of Missouri-Columbia who specialize in Algebra.
