Las Iguanas was often a very busy venue, therefore time management was essential as drinks were expected to be sent to tables within a five-minute window. This meant I had to choose which drinks to make myself and which I would delegate to other staff members, to ensure they would be made on time.Other responsibilities include: cleaning glassware; mopping and sweeping the floor; clearing and cleaning tables; taking orders. To achieve this I had to meet four criteria;: to develop a new skill; to improve my fitness; volunteer to help the community or environment; to plan, train and execute an expedition. These four sections would have to be signed and proven for.Firstly the skill I developed, was taking up and passing a refereeing course. To help the community, i helped an individual i knew to feed and cater for their heavily disabled son who is paralysed and suffers from brain damage. For my regular fitness activities I trained and played for a football club with my friends weekly. And finally for our expedition we spent a number of months having weekly meetings to plan how we would take our expedition. These included planning a walking route, using a map; planning a realistic amount of supply of clothes food/ cooking equipment and sanitation products to carry in our bags without baring to much weight and when we would walk and have breaks.
