Sierra Leone Adult Education Association (SLADEA) was established as a local Non Governmental Organization in 1978. Its main focus is Adult literacy, critical issues on Human Rights, Gender and HIV/AIDS. It has functional literacy programmed in 12 districts in Sierra Leone. Each branch is autonomous, and designs its own activities, with branch Executive members as the management team.
