  • Conduct audit of taxpayers’ annual income by inspecting and analysing taxpayers’ returns and books of accounts. • Ensure the achievement, completion of targets for revenue collection through the levy of due taxes. • Inspection of business premises, conducting field visits and stock -taking wherever required.• Participate in the automation of tax administrative processes/ methods such as IT systems and policies, highlight discrepancies and identify risk areas. • To devise and implement strategies for collection of revenue through judicious enforcement of laws and mobilization of resources.• Broadening of tax base and exercising jurisdiction for the purpose of booking of new taxpayers • To initiate/finalize proceedings in complaints received in respect of new taxpayers.• Active supervision, monitoring, guidance, and motivation of subordinate staff to optimize productivity and quality of work.
