Applications included combustion control, burner management, gas interchange yard and balance of plant systems. Platforms included Siemens, Allen Bradley, GE, Ovation and ABB. Performed the final DCS checkout at a new 440 MW cogeneration plant. Designed and commissioned the controls of a newly converted 460 MW combined cycle unit.Developed Over-Fire Air and Gas Recirculation Controls for a 110 MW gas fired unit.Prepared bid documents and various marketing materials. Show less Various roles at a 2,600 MW coal-fired plant equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) reactors, Ammonia-On-Demand system and wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system.Supervised 4-12 electricians/technicians in each of the plant’s four processes: steam, electric, waste handling and materials handling.Performance responsibilities included efficiency testing, heat rate monitoring and deviation reporting, controls tuning and optimization. Maintenance responsibilities included inspections, repair work coordination, preventative and predictive maintenance and dynamic balancing of large rotating equipment. Acted as the reliability basis owner for 28 coal pulverizers and related equipment. Operations activities included day to day troubleshooting and support, equipment monitoring, liability planning and execution of restoration activities.
