Interface with the customer and explain functionality of service and answer questions in a manner that they can understand at their level of knowledge. Receive orders and interpret what is needed to be done for repair or installation. Climb ladders and poles as needed by DSL repair or installation. Trained techs on 2 Wire DSL equipment in Bakersfield and Stockton to show how to configure wireless and HPNA functions of the unit. I have an understanding of networking on Windows, Macintosh and Linux. I support the techs in my team with this understanding for custom installation of DSL so our customer has limited downtime in their existing networks. Maintain supplies and perform inventory duties for the DSL team using AS400 including counting and return of defective equipment. Install and repair plain old telephone service (POTS). Repair and install T1 and DS0 lines. Install and repair fiber to premise. Repair outside fiber plant. Install voip over fiber or copper broadband lines. Show less
