Performed project-based, departmental solutions to reduce expenses and / or increase revenueResponsible for all contract negotiations, Managed Care Companies, Physician guarantees and vendors.Established systems and new policies and procedures facility wide, which included a denial process for poor billing. New processes improved collection efforts by $12M a year and decreased A/R days from 75 to 46 days. Received Quorum most improved A/R in 2001 – South Central Division.Planned, completed and finalized an $80M facility wide construction program, including a $22.5M bond issue. This included MOB, cath labs, surgery and procedure suites along with additional ICU beds.Added new services in the form of an LTAC and Rehabilitation Unit, which added bottom line dollars. Responsible for opening Rehab Unit and increasing per diem Medicaid reimbursement rate by $250. LTAC contributed an additional $1.7M in net revenue.Successfully completed several joint ventures between physicians, hospital and third party such as (1) Diagnostic Imaging Center, (2) Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) on a CT Angiography, (3) an 8 beds Sleep Study Laboratory, (4) a Hyperbaric and wound care treatment unit, (5) a Nursing Home, Psychiatric agency.
