  Edited for usage errors, misprints, factual errors, inconsistencies, and improved layout in seven issues of Zooscape, the monthly member newsletter, and four issues of Zoo View, the quarterly magazine of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association. Researched, wrote, and edited a 500-word article that appeared with byline in the winter 2009 edition of Zoo View. Sorted photos, transcribed interviews, and rewrote a botanical tour guide used by Zoo docents.

  Sorted and shelved a variety of materials quickly and accurately. Staffed the Technology Learning Center for school age children after school and throughout the summer, including assisting in the use of PCs and printing and offering tutoring and homework help. Collaborated on a successful application for a $5000 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Fast Internet Matters grant in 2010. Assisted the Literacy Director with clerical duties related to the Pasadena READS (adult literacy) program, including preparing documents, photocopying, typing, writing promotional materials, doing research, and assembling materials.
