      Scicon was BP's computer services subsidiary and was primarily focused on Energy work in Aberdeen, London and other BP sites.Joined Scicon as a graduate programmer in 1981. His focus for the first few years was primarily technical and he was involved extensively in the full IT project lifecycle - requirements determination, analysis, design, programming, testing and support. The vast majority of this was spent on projects within the Upstream Oil and Gas industry and this included spells working onsite with clients in the Netherlands, Norway, London and the Shetland Islands.
