  I worked for a couple of leading Leeds Agencies handling various large FMCG accounts including the Appleyard Motor Group, Hartwell Charles Clark, JCT600, Barratt Homes Yorkshire, Sterling Recruitment, Symphony Kitchens & many more. As full service agencies we were involved with every aspect of marketing from presenting new ideas, producing marketing strategies, creating press campaigns, printing literature right through to television, radio and anything else in between.What I do now in the world of Social Media is very similar to the agency work except it's online as opposed to offline. The theory is still pretty much the same - find cost effective ways to increase traffic, sell more, increase profits and grow businesses - we just use different tools and tactics to achieve this.   I worked for a market leader building strong relationships and rapport with architects and interior designers, contractors, design and build and decorators in a very competitive environment. This was an exciting and valuable experience which was originally only supposed to provide me with 12 months sales experience but I enjoyed it so much I stayed for around 7 years.2002 Whilst working in sales I came across an opportunity to work from home with a network marketing company which appealed to me as my daughter was approaching school age. I worked both positions for around two years, my sales position through the day and building my own business on an evening. Then in 2004, as my daughter began school, I became a full time work from home mum.In 2008 I decided I needed to take my business online and so my own in-depth online and social media learning journey began. First building a website so I could blog about my products and then realising I needed to learn social media to drive the traffic to my website. The rest is history... Show less
