  I teach Adobe Illustrator and foster design sense through both textbook + freeform creative projects. I worked with a non-profit organization (ESL Afterschool Communities) serving our Somali community. Tasks included developing and carrying out lesson plans in English, Math, Art, Reading, etc. for elementary and middle-school aged kids.My claim to fame was my series of "Worldly Wednesdays" in which I shared various cultural practices from around the globe with our kids. And once in school for design, I created and led a Graphic Design Curriculum with our students at all program sites.

  I'm responsible for developing value-driven design, motion and live action concepts for a multitude of brands and sectors. I really love people and getting to know their brand messaging needs + concepting creative work that works. I make fun treatment decks, pitch 'em, lead creative teams of artists, animators + editors, help craft stories and execute lots of projects from start to finish. As Sr. AD I oversaw teams of designers, illustrators, animators + art directors working on projects for motion. I was responsible for developing and maintaining Pixel Park's brand, wrote a lot of scripts, made a lot of decks. I was responsible for developing visual approaches for motion, overseeing small teams of artists, writing + designing when needed. As Pixel Park's first hire I worked as a graphic designer for motion. I was responsible for storyboarding and working in a variety of styles for a plethora of brands. I helped to establish Pixel Park's visual brand + tone of voice.
