      My job at L3 involved me working within two areas of the business. One area I worked in was the maintenance department. Within this area of work this involved me dealing with faults in the room which the guests would report. these issues varied from dealing with broken door handles, blinds, televisions, toilets. As well as painting and jet washing balconies. Within this role I had to deal with the guests face to face. This required me to have good customer service skills as I had to speak to the guests and help them with any issues that they may have had.My other area that I worked in was the housekeeping side of the business. Within this role it involved me counting the bed linen and stripping the beds after the guests stay at the apartment. As well as making sure that all the hallways were vacuumed regularly and the lifts mirrors being clean for the guest arrival. As this job also involved speaking to the guests it also meant that I needed to have good customer service skills while speaking to the guests.While working in both areas It was important that whenever I was completing a job that I kept my supervisors up to date with everything I was doing. As some jobs could not be fixed for the guest that were arriving and meant that their rooms would need to be changed as they were not suitable for the guests to go into. So it was very important that I kept the supervisors up to date so that they could plan ahead so that when the guest arrived there were no issues with their rooms once they had checked in. Show less

      With this job that I done I worked here throughout the summer of 2016. With this being a family run business I would come in to help out in different areas of the business. One area I helped out in was at the counter dealing with customers to take their orders. This required me to have good customer service skills as I had to speak to the customer to see what they wanted to order. As well as good customer service skills I had to have math’s skills as I had to work out how much the customer needed to pay for their food and how much to give them back. While working on the front it was important to keep the kitchen up to date with the different food orders which were coming in and to check with them to see which customer’s food were ready to give out and which food needed bagging up for the deliveries. This was so that everything was time efficient and the customers were not waiting to long for the food which they had ordered. The other area I worked in here was the in the kitchen. This required me to cook the different products that were on offer for the customers to purchase. For working in this area of the business it was important to have good practical and cooking skills so that I could cook the food which was on order for the customers. Show less
