The project was the University's response to the Living Black at University report (for which I was Research Lead) and involved researching the lived experiences of students of colour with university operated halls of residence. I then analysed and reported on the research, designing and delivering bespoke training for staff, including senior leaders.

      I was research lead for the seminal Living Black at University project for Unite Students, working as a consulting fellow for the Halpin Partnership.My role involves designing a mixed method research approach to understanding the lives experience of Black university students in student accommodation. I then led on delivering the project and the analysis, writing up and delivering the report. I subsequently sat as a Commissioner on the Living Black at University Commission.

      I led this project on behalf of the Halpin Partnership. The project was a race equality staff consultation to support the University in better understanding the experiences of staff of colour and supporting them. This involved an extensive reach phase where I facilitated focus groups with staff at all levels of the institution. This research was analysed and a report, with recommendations, provided to the university.

      The Living Black Commission was established after the publication of the Living Black at University report (for which I was Research Lead) to support the Higher Education sector in delivering on the recommendations of the report. I was a Commissioner, sharing insight into the recommendations with partners from the University and Purpose Built Student Accommodation sector.

      The Residential Services Team wanted to understand and improve the experiences of Black and brown students within their accommodation. I designed and undertook a research project, leading focus groups with resident students. I analysed and reported on the data and based on this designed bespoke training for wardens and managers.

      I was project leader for this race equity project at a primary school.We began by leading interactive sessions with teachers, parents and governors. We have designed and delivered KS1 and KS2 assemblies and cultural events. We are working with teaching staff to decolonise the curriculum and to diversity the library provision.
