  Elected by the campus junta of IIT Guwahati to serve as a UG Senator in the Students' Gymkhana Council for the tenure 2023-24. My work included bringing into notice the common problems that the students of the campus face and solving them along with other members in the senate. Received the best UG Senator award at the end of the tenure.

  During my 8 week internship, I worked on the Operational Readiness of the service, Personal Knowledge Semantic Search, which is going to be a part of Amazon Alexa. I contributed by working on the following tasks/features: 1. Blast Radius: I have implemented a feature which will ensure the reduction in blast radius by setting up an initial production deployment only to a very limited set of customers. This approach allows a controlled rollout, mitigating any potential risks.2. Enhanced Error Logs: I worked on enhancing the output error logs of the service, making them more informative. This facilitated easier debugging of issues, for both the development team and the clients.3. Throttling: To safeguard the service from excessive traffic, I added a throttling mechanism. This feature limits the number of incoming requests during periods of high demand, ensuring the service remains stable, even under heavy load.4.
