  Undertaking a 5-week elective placement at Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute in Tanzania has given me valuable life experience as I have solved problems and debated ethics that are taken for granted in the U.K as well as being exposed to numerous rare cases that would be rare in the U.K, which I believe will benefit my career. Furthermore, due to the lack of certain resources I was constantly required to think outside of the box to deliver effective treatment.
