  Served my country and fellow servicemen as Hospital Corpsman in a variety of health care settings at Naval Regional Medical Center Great Lakes IL. Worked in outpatient and inpatient pediatrics, inpatient orthopedics, emergency room, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and independent duty corpsman orthopedic sick call Recruit Training Command. Honorable discharge as Hospitalman Petty Officer Second Class.

  Served as volunteer director, president elect, then president of the board. During my tenure OPAF moved from its dependency on other organizations to complete autonomy and into its own offices while still maintaining its mission to provide a variety of healthy, enjoyable activities to those with disabilities.

  Principle owner and practitioner developing this successful practice in treating those with limb loss and other disabilities. Continue to serve in a wide variety of volunteer capacities within the profession and lecture at various institutions of higher education including universities. Have authored and published various articles relating to the practice of prosthetics.   Served as volunteer director through president of the board of directors for this Academy AAOP chapter. Developed two of the highest attended continuing education seminars in the recent history of the organization. Developed the Electronic Stance Control Lower Extremity Orthotic Syposium which drew interest and attendees from throughout the country and was repeated at subsequent national meetings. Also developed the prosthetic Cad-Cam Symposium which was repeated at subsequent national meetings. Show less
