      My role as a Superior Court Probation Officer for the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County was to supervise offenders serving misdemeanor probation sentences. During the three years that I served as an officer I maintained cooperative relationships with various law enforcement agencies, responded to inquires from court related agencies and the general public; documented offender compliance with court orders, worked as a training officer for new hires; and participated in field operations for the Intensive Supervision Program (IPS) and for the Treatment and Accountability Court (TAC).       The Piedmont Judicial Circuit's Specialty Courts Director is responsible for all Court Administrative functions and programs, including managing three court programs with an administrative and contracted staff of 7, and overseeing an annual budget of $500,000.My role was to direct all certified accountability court programs and projects for the Superior Court. I developed long term goals and objectives for the courts; drafted and enforced program policy and procedure; researched and prepared State and Federal grant applications; negotiated and managed service contracts; collected court data and caseload information for statistical reporting; coordinated and planned annual staff training and travel; and prepared, presented, and justified the annual operating budget to local stakeholders and officials. Highlighted results of the accountability court programs and projects include:• Achieved and managed the State Accountability Court Certifications for all three accountability court programs. • Implemented and managed a circuit-wide drug lab to improve testing range and rates to enhance compliance with State Standards and nationally recognized best practices. • Implemented and managed a circuit-wide electronic document management system (EDMS) for all accountability courts to improve the use of resources and employee time. • Utilized the Accountability Court State Standards and nationally recognized best practices to ensure the courts' standards were met along with increasing public trust, investment, and confidence.• Identified work flow processes and implemented standard operating procedures for all accountability court programs to improve resource efficiency. • Coordinated with government agencies and non-profits organizations to build relationships, and foster community outreach and support. • Conducted quarterly staff meetings to review court policy and develop strategic plans to meet program goals.
