  Chief of nine man Department. I had to start the department from a small part time Department to a fully operating twenty four hour operation. I wrote all of the policies/procedures and set the Department to work with the US Forest Service and US Army Corp of Engineers and was able to obtain contracts to patrol the areas owned by those agencies. We formed a water patrol for the East Branch Dam and would enforce the boating laws as well to keep the visitors safe. In 1996 the Tax collector was arrested by our Department for embezzlement that cost not only the taxpayers but due to the fiscal affect it cost us our Department as well and it was disbanded much to the great disappointment of the citizens of the community.   Elk/Cameron County Drug Task Force

  Field Operations Supervisor

  While working at the Jones Township Police Department I was appointed the Field Operations Supervisor for the Elk/Cameron Counties drug Task force. I coordinated undercover drug operations for both counties through the Office of the Pa. Attorney General utilizing the Officers of our Department, Johnsonburg Police, Ridgway Police, St. Marys Police, Benzinger Township Police and the Emporium Police Department. During that time our team conducted several investigations and arrested drug dealers that operated in the area as well as working with the DEA, FBI and other agencies to take down major dealers from New York City to California. The Officers were trained by the Pa. Office of Attorney General and I am quite proud of the work that the Officers were able to do to rid the streets of heroin, cocaine and large quantities of marijuana. I unfortunately had to resign when Jones Township disbanded and I secured other employment out of the area. Show less
