      Ensuring the management of the European Union/Council of Europe Joint Project "Combating anti-LGBTIQ violence and hate speech and strengthening awareness-raising and fact-based narratives about LGBTIQ persons" of the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC). Contributing to the planning, implementation and ongoing assessment of the project activities in accordance with the project plan and schedule, the contractual obligations and the relevant CoE regulations, in co-operation with the stakeholders and the European Commission’s DG JUSTICE team. The joint project aims to prevent and combat intolerant discourse and hate speech, as well as other forms of violence and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) across Europe by: (i) building on Council of Europe standards and best practices from member states; (ii) supporting the implementation of European policies, strategies and initiatives of public authorities, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders, at local, national and European level, to achieve coherent, coordinated and effective responses. Show less Organising, co-ordinating and implementing the activities foreseen in the work programme of the Intercultural Cities (ICC) Programme, under the Intercultural Inclusion Unit. The Intercultural Cities Programme supports cities and regions in reviewing and adapting their policies through an intercultural lens, and developing comprehensive intercultural strategies to manage diversity as an advantage for the whole society.
