      Senior Management Analyst

I was hired by the client (Federal Bureau of Investigation, Finance and Facilities Division) in the middle of fiscal year 2018 to help them accurately manage and analyze spending because the previous fiscal year was poorly managed at the end (the unit requested money over-budget but did not use any of it). I was also tasked with preparing budget plans for fiscal year 2019. My work involved daily tracking of spending across multiple accounts, collaboration with the Division’s front office, accounting and budget Departments, as well as conducting analyses ultimately for presentation and recommendation purposes. • Led the Strategic Management and Organization Support Unit in budget management, forecasting and analysis for training, education, and workforce development. • Managed a $1.4 million dollar workforce development budget and successfully closed out fiscal year 2018 with only $11 thousand in surplus (used for other Division tasks prior to the October 1 deadline). • Created a training plan for all 12 sections in the Division and forecasted a detailed budget plan totaling $1.2 million for fiscal year 2019.• Completed a comprehensive analysis project that compared spending across three fiscal years (i.e. 2016, 2017, 2018) to help management better understand the correlation between the Division’s budget plans versus how dollars are actually spent.
