  Drilling Fluids Engineer

  • Designed drilling fluids program for the Oil, Gas and Geothermal wells in Northern Iraq and Türkiye. Execute mud programs to achieve desired wellbore conditions.• Prepared drilling fluids as per the program. Monitored and optimised drilling fluid properties in the requested range with mud tests at least twice per day in the laboratory. Ensured calibration and inspection of all the laboratory test equipment with API Standards.• Submitted daily mud reports with fluid parameters, chemical inventory, usage, and cost-related analysis. Prepared final mud reports at the end of each well.• Performed a variety of drilling fluid operations with WBM (Spud Mud, Lignosulphonate WBM, KCL/Polymer Mud, Saturated Salt Muds) and Completion and Workover Fluids.• Planned and executed all drilling fluid-related operations. Ordered drilling fluid materials and ensured they were in place before the well was spudded. Provided proper maintenance of the solid control equipment and ensured shaker screens and all related spare parts were in the location before well spudded.• Experience in stuck pipe, torque/drag, high deviation torque, sloughing shale, caving hole, lost circulation and carbonate /bicarbonate, anhydrite contamination, fractured formations -total loss circulation, H2S gas -Estimates mud materials and chemicals required for drilling each section includes estimating the tonnage per materials, per well and recommends estimates for ordering stores.
