      - I was associated with the 'Comprehensive Well Monitoring software for Drilling Engineers' project in my final year. The project was undertaken by I.I.T. Guwahati in collaboration with ONGC.- As a part of this project, I did my internship at Institute of Drilling Technology (IDT), Dehradun, which is a part of the R&D of ONGC.- During the internship period, I learned about the drilling process in detail and all the problems encountered in the process.- I implemented a small code in MATLAB to check for drill string failure using the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) facility of ONGC and the drill string material properties.- I further extended my work to predict the occurrence of washouts in drill strings.       - I worked as an intern under Professor S.K. Dwivedy in the Mechatronics lab of the Mechanical Engineering Department.- Developed a MATLAB code for simulation of 3-DOF robot arms given its D-H parameters. The code was implemented using the symbolic toolbox of MATLAB and enabled the users to input control points to specify the motion of the end effector of the manipulator. The code also included trajectory generation using polynomial interpolation and also allowed the user to control the velocity of the end-effector at the control points.- Studied the modeling of flexibility in manipulators using Euler-Bernoulli beam equations. Tried incorporating flexibility into the MATLAB code which I had developed but it required more advanced symbolic computation software.- It was developed for simulating and controlling a PUMA robot arm for friction stir welding purpose. Guwahati and ONGC.- I received a stipend of INR 5000.0 per month for the academic year 2016-17 for being a part of this project.
