Planning of milling operation for collapsed casing and evaluating 2 ½” coiled tubing reservoir section. - Being a lead engineer for a highly deviated well with extended reach design and ~ 9,000’ salt drilling section. Evaluated and selected surface location due to bird migration concerns and developed various well trajectories and casing scenarios accordingly. Held business meetings with asset partners and presented strategies. In addition, drilling performance, positional accuracy and the various aspects of injection to seal off the wellbore were thoroughly investigated. The outcome was a simplified process with a reduced risk of well control incidents and better HSE performance. A basic cost-benefit analysis led to a reevaluation of pre-defined boundary conditions in order to make the process cost-effective.
