I thrived in the program as a key participant in shaping and improving defense and national security legislative proposals.Entrusted as the DoD Marine Corps’ Military Legislative Assistant for National Security, Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, Foreign Relations, Veterans Affairs, Gun Control, Natural Resources, Science and Technology legislation and constituent inquiries. Integral participant in briefs, seminars, and instruction organized by USMC’s Office of Legislative Affairs, Congressional Research Service, and the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University. — As Liaison to HASC staff, I coordinated 36 hearings/briefs and staffed 96 meetings with senior military leaders, foreign dignitaries, industry, constituents, and members of Congress.
