      Designed more than 30 bespoke machines from concept through manufacture and commission. Designed, programmed the robots, and led the commission of a prototype Robotic assembly line to manufacturer surge arrestors.

      • Designed, commissioned and programmed 3 x complete Robotic production lines for Tyco Electronics, Shannon, with a budget of €300,000, per production line.• Transformed the packaging department for DairyGold, Tallagh, including robotic palletising, taping and labelling, saving €100,000 per annum on boxes, and over €200,000 per annum in labour costs.• Semi-automated +25 processes inside Tyco Shannon, adding to general operative efficiencies to the average value of €45,000 per system.• Designed a robotic assembly line for Lisk Ireland, where two robots were working together to assemble solenoid valves.       • Honoured with the “President of Ingersoll Rand award” for leading the integration of a new product range (T-Series range) into Thermo King Galway. This was the first time there was a complete product range replacement since manufacturing began on the existing product range in the 1980’s, and impacted over half the Galway plants workforce.• Led the truck manufacturing team in the following years to produce a record productivity improvement for our assembly line of 4 hrs, reducing build time from 21hrs to 17hrs, with a cost saving of €700,000.• Created, gained approval for, and implemented, annual capital expenditure budgets, to improve safety and productivity.• Created a new assembly line productivity process, which became adopted plant wide, to improve assembly operator productivity.• Managed resources ranging from quality engineers and assembly technicians, to supply chain leaders, as well as Irish/US/Chinese & Indian vendors. General responsibilities ranged from Safety and Productivity to Automation and New Product Integrations (SPAN). Show less
