Project: Logging & Monitoring Solution on a modernized Vessel infrastructure.Responsibilities: The customer was in a situation where they needed a resource with knowledge of satellite-based locations and had greater knowledge of infrastructure monitoring. At the same time, that resource should challenge and manage the external vendor's solution proposal to ensure that the design was the best fit for the customer's needs. The project was part of a major program whose goal was to modernize the infrastructure of approximately 600 container ships.Job description: Reassess all monitoring requirements based on an agile perspective; Identify, prioritize & document new requirements; Create maturity pyramid for the Logging & Monitoring Solution; Support stakeholders & project participants in the use of agile methods; Part of the Value Stream Mapping team at the program level; Preparation of agile project method proposals for implementation of the solution; Assist in the anchoring of VSTS in the project; Selection & testing of the Logging & Monitoring tools. Results: The cyber-attack hit the customer very hard & this unfortunately reflected the result. The role ranged from Product Owner to the advisory role. The monitoring project continued for a period of roughly 8 months to mature the requirements, design & documentation of the solution. However, with low intensity as the progress in the Vessel Modernization project was low. With the updated visions, design documents and requirements, the customer is now ready to take over the project itself.
