Responsible was to oversee all the Mechanical contractors and their sub-contractors in the installation of the Balanced Draft Conversion (BDC) of the four Stuart Units and the Flue Gas Desulfization . The retrofit addition of the following list of major equipment; four Chiyoda CT-121 wet flue gas scrubbers, limestone and gypsum handling equipment , eight new ID fans and eight new Booster fans . The installation of all above and underground piping. As well as the mechanical equipment. Monitor and report productive and schedule performance, direct schedule recovery plans as required to the Mechanical contractors and their subcontractors. Stuart is comprised of four 600MW coal fired B&W boilers. Killen consists of a single 600MW coal fired B&W boiler. The Stuart AQC project includes the Balanced Draft Conversion (BDC) of the four Stuart Units and the Flue Gas Desulfization (FGD) Project. Show less Piping Superintendent. Black & Veatch. Responsibilities include overseeing the installation of the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) piping as well as the under and aboveground pipe, and the hydro of the HRSG and other piping. Also responsible for the installation of two pipe lines (10” and 24”) over a mile long from one operating plant to another, the setting of other equipment, fielding planning and scheduling, and the insulation and removal of the chemical clean and steam blow piping.
